This in Joliet, on Benton St. Mom, wrote, I don't know kids are, Ken don't know. It looks like Ken and neighbor girls on Benton st. One of them might be Linda, Grannys Lyons Granddaughter, the one standing, not the tallest girl who is cut of the picture.
Although home dishwashers started to be common in the 70s in the US, 2008 was Mom's year for getting one. It many not be important to most people, but it will be a time saver, and it may save on water and electricity. The great thing is that Mom said that it cleans very well.
A beautiful place is the Green River overlook at Mammoth Cave, KY.
When I was a kid we went to Highland (Pilcher) Park in Joliet, IL. There was a walking bridge there which was the only way to get to this one wooded section of the park. It was great. I wish I had a better picture of it.

This is the farm in western TN where I lived as a teenager. My Grandparents bought the land in 1973-- all 115 acres of it. Now the land has been split among their own 5 children.
In those days there was only 1 house on the farm on the far right. The lake is about 3 acres and has catfish in it.
I've always been interested in family history and names.
Concerning the meaning of the Hungarian name "Sarkozi". Dad said "sar" means "mud". "Sar" has the sound of "shar" in Hungarian. A professor told me it could mean "marsh" as well. A marshy/fertile land beside (a river). "Koz" means "beside".
"Sar" goes back to ancient Sumerian where it means "earth" -- that was about 4,000 years ago. The name is a place name of the region of Sarkoz in Hungary.
Some people put a "y" at the end of the name instead of the "i". The "y" means that one is of noble origins, over the "i" of common origins. Some in our family used the "y". Dad's sister and 2 cousins used the "y", but dad and his father did not.
